With local guide, you enjoy a day to discover the capital of Laos:

Wat Sisaket with its thousands of miniature Buddha statues.

Wat Simuang and Wat Prakeo, which was the original home of the famous Emerald Buddha, which today lives in Bangkok. There are many excellent restaurants in Vientiane, and you will easily find something to suit your taste.

The huge golden That Luang monument, where all Lao citizen respect as holy pagoda.

Vientiane’s own Victory Monument, which looks like the Arc de Triumph. This was built at the end of the Indochina wars with money rumored to be American, and earmarked for the airport’s new runway. Thus the departing Americans dubbed this monument the vertical runway! Have a look at the lovely arches inside the monument.

Then drive to Vang Vieng, about 4 hours from the capital. On the way, stop and enjoy the beautiful scenery over the Nam Ngum Lake. Check in hotel on your arrival.

Start your day by an relaxing excursion in long tail boat on Nam Song River.  It is a dam and its lake. Its realization has submerged 250 km2 of forest. This spectacular lake is endowed with a hundred small islands. Boat trip and visit villages along the river.

Our guide will escort you to Tam Jang cave 172 steps where you can see the spectacular views of the city and the landscape. 

Then drive to Luang Prabang. Stop on the way to visit some local villages. Check in hotel on arrival.

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning alms giving ritual to saffron clad monks. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving this procession. Enjoy your UNESCO morning walk to understand insight of this charming town stop and visit fresh local markets and back to hotel for breakfast

This morning transfer to the pier where you board a traditional long trail boat, for a relaxing cruise upstream on the mighty Mekong River. Enjoy stunning mountain scenery and witness the simple rural lifestyles.

Stop and visit Ban XANGKHONG, a weaving village, where you can jump into wooden looms with local expert for practical and experience. You will reach Pak Ou caves at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers. In these 2 caves are displayed hundreds of sacred centuries-old Buddha images which are the object of pilgrimages during the Lao New Year festivities around mid-April.

Cruise back Luang Prabang. Then visit Wat May built in 1796, the five-tiered roof of the wooden Sim (chapel) epitomizes the graceful Luang Prabang architectural style. Then visit the National Museum, explore the city’s fascinating array of shimmering temples and French colonial buildings.

Visit Wat Xieng Thong further emphasizes the uniqueness of Luang Prabang, its several roofs sweeping low to the ground. See also the impressive "tree of life" mosaic here. The gilt panel on the exterior of the chapel depicts semi-erotic episodes from the Ramayana.

After breakfast, you will be driven to the Elephant Village, a centre with a focus on the protection and rehabilitation of elephants in Laos. Upon arrival you will meet the camp manager and hear about the work carried out by a team of dedicated staff and volunteers in caring for the elephants. Next, climb aboard an elephant for a walk (around 30 mns). Enjoy authentic experience on the neck of the elephant while crossing Nam Khan river. Ferry back to camp then transfer in town of Luang Prabang.

This afternoon, travelling outskirt of Luang prabang, driving through green rice paddies and farms. Stop for visit few villages of H’mong and Lao loum people, your guide can introduce you to local people and its great opportunity for you to involving with their daily activities such as wooden cotton spinning, weaving, rice harvesting and green vegetable farms. On your arrival at the Kuang Si waterfall enjoy your short walking on trails of falls to visit the bear rescued centre. Then discover the waterfalls with spectacular views and surrounding of orchids inside the park and falls cascade over many calcified tiers and down several hundred feet into a series of cool, turquoise pools. You can cool off with a swim. Transfer back to Luang Prabang.
