Tham PouKham Cave

Want to take a vacation in Vang Vieng but you do not know where to start? Then make a trip to the cave of Tham Poukham, one of the natural caves not to be missed for the duration of your stay.

This famous cave is located just 6 kilometers from the heart of Vang Vieng, the street to go is very authentic thanks to the decoration of  Mother of nature such as lush mountains, old villages, green rice fields as far as the eye can see. The path to go to Tham Poukham is slippery and a little bit dangerous, so you have to choose good mountain shoes before your trip to Laos. If you want to explore deeper into Tham Poukham and also the original state deep inside the cave, do not forget to rent a headlamp before entering.

As a sacred place of Buddhism in Vang Vieng, Tham Poukham houses a very beautiful sculpted bronze statue which depicts a lying Buddha located above the altar. For the first impression of Tham Poukham, you will have an unforgettable view of stalactites and stalagmites inside this picturesque site.

When going back down to the foot of the mountain, the Blue Lagoon, with incredibly turquoise water, will be a promising land paradise where you can relax and immerse yourself in nature after visiting Tham Poukham Cave. If you like stronger sensations, you might try jumping from a natural diving board (about 2,5 meters) or from a tree along the lagoon.
